A sustainable trip to Rome means finding the best eco friendly things to do, but also eco accommodations. While Italy’s Eternal City has a way to go in terms of its sustainability efforts, we nonetheless toured the city to find you the best eco hotels in Rome.
We narrowed down our list to only three hotels, choosing only the ones that actually engage in sustainability and showcase their efforts clearly.

We selected only the most eco hotels in Rome to ensure that there’s as little greenwashing as possible. Hotels that claim to be sustainable but can’t show any concrete evidence or only make a minimal effort did not make the list. The top three mentioned above were the best green hotels we encountered in Rome.
